This program contains 4 addon chassis for DTR, all based on an improved body design which is more realistic than the DTR default chassis. The body is the same for each chassis, but the handling characteristics differ slightly, as with the DTR default chassis.

The program also contains a set of skins, one for each chassis, which can be used as "template" skins for painting. The skins correspond to the four makes commonly used in dirt latemodel racing (Chevy, Ford, Pontiac, Dodge) Note that it is NOT meant to be implied that the make "belongs" on a certain chassis. For instance, though the BST Alpha comes with a Ford Mustang chassis, the BST Alpha is not meant to be used only as a Ford Mustang. If that was what we were shooting for, heck, we would have just called it a Mustang chassis - so feel free to paint up a Monte Carlo skin on an Alpha chassis, and nobody will call you an idiot (we hope).

Improvements to the body include:

* "Hump" in nose section removed, nose is now slanted correctly

* Sides and bottom of nose are flared, sides of car are flattened and angled out slightly

* Rear end of car is "opened up" and chassis inside rear end has been modified accordingly

The engine size and fuel type has been changed for "variety", but these DO NOT affect the handling or power of the car IN ANY WAY. These chassis will perform on par with the DTR default chassis, and are perfectly suited for use in league racing alongside the default chassis. NO EXTRA POWER OR TRACTION HAS BEEN ADDED OR TAKEN FROM ANY OF THE BST CHASSIS.

NOTE THAT FOR ONLINE USE, ALL DRIVERS MUST HAVE THE BST CHASSIS INSTALLED.

This is a circa 1983 type wedge latemodel for DTR. The installion includes the BST Wedge Latemodel chassis and a detailed Jeff Purvis skin, which can also be used as a painting template. The BST Wedge Latemodel is based on the original DTR Formula chassis. To correctly use this installer you must have Dirt Track Racing by Ratbag in your C:\Program Files\Ratbag directory (game default directory).

ISSUES/KNOWN BUGS: While the first-person (you) view of the car in normal resolutions does not show any significant distortion to the painted skin, the second-person (opponent) view does show some distortion to the rear sides of the car. This type of skin distortion is not uncommon with DTR addon cars and cannot becorrected at present time.

This program contains a "4-Banger" division chassis with a default set of skins made from the DTR-Aus (Australian release) LJ Torana Pure Stock. The car features greatly lowered engine power along with narrow tires and a higher center of gravity, making for significant changes in handling.

These cars are especially made for online use and thrive in that environment. They will not compete with the Pure Stocks in DTR, however you can check the BST website for Career Mode series involving only the 4-Banger cars.

KNOWN ISSUES

>From incar view, the "skin" does not lay correctly on the hood of the car. Although not a major bug, this problem in inherent in the original LJ Torana and cannot be helped.
